At the Museu de Arte Contemporânea da Universidade de São Paulo – MAC USP, the exhibition Contemporary Sacilotto: Color, Movement, Sharing presents works from the last thirty years of Luiz Sacilotto’s life, offering a rare glimpse into the artist’s mature phase.
“When I leafed through my first geometry books, I came across triangles, rectangles, and circles. I learned that those shapes were good for something. But I also realized that they were beautiful shapes,” Sacilotto recalled, reflecting on what sparked his visual exploration of geometric forms. “They captivated me more and more. Over time, I realized that developing these shapes can produce surprising, extraordinary results. I think that each person should have one fundamental thing in their life. Mine is dealing with these shapes.”
