"Lygia Clark: The I and the You” exhibition at the Whitechapel Gallery brings the artist's radicalism to London
10/24/2024
The exhibition Lygia Clark: I and the You on view at the Whitechapel Gallery, in London, explores the trajectory of the artist, from her early formal experimentation in the 1950s until her research on the therapeutic potential of art in the 1970s, which led to a gradual closure of the gap between her artwork and viewer.
The final section of the show reveals the radicality of Clark’s work with her relational objects and body experimentation developed during her time in Paris following the May 1968 protests.
The exhibit runs until January 12, 2025.
