This Saturday, September 14th, 11 AM, curator Yudi Rafael invites artists Takashi Fukushima and Kimi Nii to discuss the works in the exhibition Intimidade das formas [Intimacy of Forms]. Takashi, son of Tikashi Fukushima, presents large red canvases, 1990s abstractions, and a selection from his figurative phase in the 1950s. The artist Kimi Nii presents an expressive group of ceramics and will talk about her work, as well as her relationship with the other artists featured and Casa Zalszupin.
The exhibition focuses on the artistic production of the Japanese diaspora in São Paulo, bringing together a collection of drawings, paintings, sculptures, and furniture pieces that explores the intersection of artistic paths in the city and allude to the productive dimension of intimacy between the curatorial emphasis of the exhibition, encompassing Brazilian art, architecture, and design.
