"Sacilotto contemporâneo: cor, movimento, partilha" at MAC USP

The historic exhibition “Sacilotto contemporâneo: cor, movimento, partilha” [Contemporary Sacilotto: Color, Movement, Sharing], curated by Ana Avelar and held at MAC USP, focuses on the production made between the 1970s and the end of the artist's life, when he immersed himself in optical-kinetic experimentation combined with the exploration of color. 

“In the mid-1970s, Sacilotto returned to abstract-geometric painting, now driven by optical and kinetic art [in which the artist] invites displacement in front of images, playing with vibrational visualities,” says Ana Avelar, the show's curator.  

The expography - which seeks to bring together colors, compositions and different times - demonstrates forms and chromatic solutions researched since the beginning of Sacilotto's career through earlier paintings, which gravitate towards more recent ones.
