Lygia Clark's "Bicho" is a highlight at the Almeida & Dale booth at ArtRio 2024

The work "Bicho (Projeto para um planeta)" by Lygia Clark holds a prominent place in the history of Brazilian and international art. Created in 1963, this piece is part of a series of articulated sculptures that can be manipulated by the viewer. Far from being a static object, "Bicho" requires the active participation of the audience, highlighting the concept of art as a sensory and immersive experience. Through this work, Clark anticipated contemporary discussions about interactivity and the involvement of the audience in art.
